This is a handy transition drill for those players/teams that struggle with their back-to-basket quickness.
Players sprint to the first set of markers @ the half way line. Once they reach the markers they touch and pivot 180* in one movement and back pedal on their toes as quickly as possible until they are directly under the opposite basket.
This is repeated three times up all three lanes.
Alternate drill:
Remove middle lane, add a ball handler/passer to the middle lane. Ball handler makes three dribbles up the court from the baseline before passing to the back pedalling player.
